As an expressionist (abstract impressionist?) painter my work captures the magic and beauty of this magical coastal landscape I call home.

Visualizing representational figures, fantasy islands, and gently surreal landscapes, my paintings invite you to stop, take a closer look, and then smile.

Inspired by the naturally surreal landscape of the Lowcountry, my style blends serene realism with surreal elements and a touch of whimsy. My art explores themes of love, inner peace, and nostalgia, using bold brushstrokes, bright colors, and symbols to create an engaging image.

Storytelling is an integral part of my art, using narrative themes and titles help bring life to my art. My artistic journey continues to be fueled by an unstoppable urge to create; painting is not simply a choice but a vital necessity, dedicating extensive time nurturing new ideas, and allowing my work to develop organically. 

Drawing inspiration from a diverse community, I continue to develop, push, and grow my art through experimentation, and challenging myself with techniques and ideas.

Member of Pluff Mudd Art Gallery, The Art Beyond Tradition Group, and The Art League of Hilton Head Island. 
 Beginning January, 2026 - I will be changing co-op galleries, moving from Pluff Mudd Gallery to La Petite Gallerie in Bluffton.
